Poetree

'Poetree' by David Paynter

Completed a stone carving that I have been working on for a while. It's called 'Poetree', carved from Portland stone.

75cms tall, it is my homage to the efforts of poets through the ages. It features the faces of seven well-known, though dead, poets as mentioned in the accompanying poem.

'Poetree' will be in our annual Art & Soul exhibition that opens to the public on Saturday 3rd June!
